1. How DTH Works

2. How to Recharge DTH

You can recharge your DTH account in several ways, and payment methods include:

A. Via Online Platforms (Website or App)

  • Tata Play, Dish TV, Airtel, etc. all have apps and websites where you can recharge your DTH.
    • Open the official app or website (e.g., Tata Play, Airtel Digital TV).
    • Log in using your customer ID or registered mobile number.
    • Choose your desired recharge plan (daily, monthly, or custom).
    • Enter payment details (UPI, debit/credit card, or wallet).
    • Complete the payment and your DTH will be recharged instantly.

B. Recharge via Mobile Wallets

  • Use Paytm, PhonePe, Google Pay, etc. to recharge your DTH.
    • Open your mobile wallet app.
    • Search for your DTH provider (e.g., Tata Play, Airtel Digital TV).
    • Enter your Customer ID and select your plan.
    • Make the payment through your linked bank account or wallet balance.

C. Recharge via Bank/UPI

  • You can also recharge your DTH using net banking or UPI directly through a bank’s online platform.
    • Log into your bank account and go to the Bill Payments or DTH recharge section.
    • Select your DTH provider, enter the customer ID, and choose the recharge amount.
    • Confirm and make the payment.

D. SMS Recharge

Some providers allow you to recharge via SMS by sending a keyword to a specific number.
– Example: Airtel DTH users can recharge by texting a specific code to 121.

E. Physical Stores/Agents

  • You can visit local DTH recharge agents or retail stores where they can help you recharge your account. Some service providers also offer recharge coupons at these locations.

3. How to Check DTH Balance

You can check your DTH account balance in the following ways:

  • On the Set-Top Box: You can use the on-screen menu to view the remaining balance.
  • Via App/Website: The DTH app or website will show your remaining balance and the validity of your current plan.
  • SMS: Some providers allow you to check balance by sending a message (e.g., send “BAL” to a specific number for Tata Play).
